Hello, world — and what I plan to write here
A first note on why this site exists, and the kind of cloud-native, AI and app-building topics I plan to write about.
- #meta
- #devops
- #ai
This is the first post on a blog I’ve wanted to start for a while. I spend my days building platforms — the Kubernetes, GitOps and infrastructure-as-code foundations that teams ship on — and my evenings building products. This is where I’ll write about both.
What to expect
A few themes I keep coming back to:
- Platform engineering — turning a pile of cloud primitives into an internal platform people actually enjoy using.
- Cloud-native in practice — Kubernetes, GitOps, and the operational details that don’t make it into the conference talks.
- AI, applied — where large language models and agents genuinely help in engineering workflows, and where they don’t.
- Building apps solo — lessons from shipping FrostCam, WarmCam and Névtárs on my own.
Why write at all
Writing forces me to actually understand the thing I think I understand. If a post helps one other engineer skip a painful afternoon, that’s a good trade.
